How to Add Widgets to Your Mac Desktop Using iOS Sonoma

MacOS Sonoma is the latest version of iOS software that has been released by Apple, alongside the rest of iOS17 on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods, and HomePod.

One of the features that is new to MacOS Sonoma is the ability to add Interactive Widgets to your Mac desktop.

In this blog, I will teach you how to do this.

How to add interactive widgets to your desktop and delete them if you don’t like them

To add interactive widgets to your desktop, all you have to do is to close any applications you have open or to minimise them, until all that is covering your screen is the screensaver you’ve chosen for your desktop.
After you do this, you’ll then need to move your mouse to a free space, before right clicking with your mouse or trackpad, then moving down until you are hovering over an option that will say ‘Edit Widgets’.
Click on that option, and then a new window with numerous widget options in it will come up.
To add any widget you want, you just have to click on whichever widget you want, then you can add it to your desktop by either clicking it or dragging.

But what should you do if you change your mind about a widget? Well, if you decide you don’t like the widget you’ve added any more, you can remove it by just right clicking on the widget and moving your mouse down to ‘Remove Widget’.
